She called and said she's cooking a big lunch for the whole family.

Now let me just tell you that my Mamaw makes the best fried chicken and chicken and dumplings in the ENTIRE sourthern states! lol Not to mention all the fabulous other stuff she crams on the table!

It's really great b/c with DH gone I cook so rarely now so it'll be so good to have a home cooked meal!

Man I can't wait til lunchtime!!
 
You did say somewhere that I was invited too right??? LOL
Enjoy your meal- Some fried chicken sounds really good right now- Maybe that is just the hormones screaming at me too LOL
 
LOL -- that's fun! Gotta love those home cooked meals.

We'll be doing dinner with the family -- the whole family -- for a birthday celebration! :)
 
And where is it that your Mamaw lives? Depending on the state, I could be down there by lunchtime, lol :thumbup:

I do feel lucky...all of my grandparents are still living..well except my mother's father but he died in 1952 when my grandmother was expecting my mother so she never knew him either.

My grandfather is 84, and still going...he had triple bypass surgery 20 years ago and prostate cancer 4 years ago and he's still out working in his field as much as my grandmother will let him.
 
Aww, man, you sure know how to make a preggo lady jealous!!! I do love some good ole southern country cookin'!
 
Lucky girl! I feel the same way. I am getting lazy with meals and I always feel totally spoiled when my family cooks!
 
Oh you suck!! LOL!! I want some!! I miss my mamaw's cooking!! I seriously need to get to MS more often!! Enjoy that fabulous meal!
 
Oh, how nice! I'm jealous! I love chicken and dumplings. I make some pretty good ones, but not nearly as good as my grandmother! Love being pampered and cooked for...enjoy! :)
 
Well, I went, I saw, I conquered! lol

Oh I'm so stuffed! She made sweet potato casserole and browned coconut on top...I ate THREE helpings!...it's nice to be preggers and have no one say anything about how much you eat lol! :)
