My Hard Drive Died....

I'm totally depressed...My portable hard drive died and although I backed up some of my stuff I hadn't backed it all up...I hope that some of it can be saved but I'm not counting on it....Although I hate to lose all my kits I can cry when I think about all my layouts...I can just kick myself because I've read all the darn threads about backing up...Urgh....Ok enough of my whining...
 
Same thing happened to me last week, I think most of mine was somewhere else, but there were a few things that weren't. I will bring mine to my computer guy soon to see if those things can be pulled off.

oh no! I really hope some of it can be recovered.

That is a good reminder to me to back my stuff up.
 
oh Rachelle, that is heartbreaking! hope you can recover stuff.

I think I better do some backing up today!
 
That really sucks. I had one die recently, but fortunately had my stuff backed up to Mozy. It took a week to recover though! I hope they can recover something for you!

well it's official it died...they couldn't recover anything...i refuse to cry because it's my own fault...i hadn't backed up since june 1st which was the first time i backed up ever...so all my layouts are gone...and i can't find my pictures so i don't know if they are backed up on dvds or not...urgh...i can't believe it...
 
oh, Rachelle, I'm so sorry. You are not alone -- so many of us have learned that back-up lesson the hard way.
