My Engagement Ring ....

is in my house and I am not allowed to see it.

See ... we are getting married, we are planning a wedding BUT we haven't been able to get a ring (till now) so he hasn't ever proposed.

Right before Thanksgiving I found a Vintage ring that I love. We bought it, it got here yesterday but I promised I wouldn't see it till he proposed. Now I have to wait. I am SO impatient ... it is killing me that I can't see the ring!!

this is the picture from online:

Amber that is gorgeous!

Jordan and I went to look, not planning on buying. He bought it that day. We had to wait a week while it was sized. He came home with it and had the box open and was teasing me with it. I told him I didn't want to see it until he was putting it on my finger.
Then we bought the house. During hte move he GAVE ME the BAG with the engagement ring in it, so that it would safely get from point A to point B. :cursing:

It was 4 months before he proposed and I finally got my ring. It was well worth the wait :)

4 months!!! I can not wait 4 months!!! I will go INSANE! Secretly I am hoping for a New Year's engagement ;) On his knee @ midnight. But I don't think it will happen that way LOL.

Well Jordan planned a whole vacation to do it on, lol. So that's why I say it was worth the wait :)

Now we're looking at wedding bands. I can't WAIT! :)

Oh wow...that is SO pretty!!!!! :D Congrats on getting it...now tell that man to hurry up and propose already!!!!:p

Of course it will happen, Amber. ;)

Do this:

AMBER: Oh, honey, you know I was telling my online gurls abt how we got the ring this week, so they were all telling me their engagement stories & Susie said that her husband proposed to her on NYE at midnight because he wanted to start the new year with a promise to love her forever. *sigh* Isn't that SOOO ROMANTIC?! *flutter lashes*

Make sure to say this when he is not watching TV, but immediately after you plant the seed, walk away to do something else very nonchalantly & then don't bring it up again.

Best that you time this convo for next week so there's not enough time to forget, but enough time for him to sort it out in his mind & buy a bottle of wine, etc. if he's going to liven it up a little.

*lol* No, really. DO IT.

You'll thank me later.

I totally agree with LA!!! That's how Jordan knew to propose to me on the beach at sunset :) Plant the seed and pray it takes hold in his brain, lol. If he knows what's good for him, he'll listen!

P.S. It was more important to me that the engagement was a total surprise and totally his idea than where it happened, so I didn't have any 'planting' conversations with Jeff, but if I had something in mind like you or Col, I TOTALLY would have done so.

Wow that is beautiful! How exciting!! It would drive me crazy too waiting but I think the NYE thing would be so romantic! I agree with the girls, you need to plant the seed!

A friend of mine is proposing to another friend sometime before Christmas (he was vague, lol). He's going to put the ring on an ornament and give it to her to hang on the tree. I thought that was SO sweet and special (and she's totally not expecting it) :) Just wanted to share, lol!

Great ring! Congrats on knowing you'll get it. i never had an engagement ring, we just decided to get married. But I love the wedding band.
