My camera lens is broke!

Long story short, cat knocked it off the table and of course it fell lens first. the autofocus won't work, even when i turn it manually it doesn't want to turn easily or focus right. DH says he's not buying me another one. he's been on me to find a job so he says if i want a new lens i should find a job. the next lens i was planning on getting was a 50 mm portrait lens, only around $80. and if i want another one like i had its $140. i'm very mad. my camera is my best buddy! my DH is an ass, lol.

oh no, that is my worse nightmare. I leave mine laying on the table all the time and the cat is always trying to sneak up there and grab the strap. I've been lucky that she hasn't pulled it down. The camera is insured but the lens is not. I'm so sorry for your bad luck.

yah i have heard a lot of good things about the 50 mm. so i'm definitely getting that next (whenever that will be, lol) and then i'm probably going to get the 18-55 mm (or whatever it is) the basic kit lens later on. just don't know when! gonna have to kiss some butt probably lol!!
