Three years ago today at 11:22pm Miss Rachel was born. Shortly after I had a doctor standing at my side telling that she wouldn't live to see her first birthday and that "it isn't my fault BUT............ their is something wrong with her.". Little did that doctor know how strong, wonderful & amazing Rachel is. She's tripled her life expectancy.
Since her birth Rachel has over 10 MRI's, 4 Xays, 2 cat scans, 1 Neurosurgery and 503 doctors appointments (yes you read that right). We call her our miracle baby. She has also been diagnosed with Proteus Syndrome - there have only been 330 known cases of it in the world (according to last years numbers - I haven't seen the numbers for this year).
