My 1st LO w/ PS

That was so much harder than I thought it would be! UGH!

I only started scrapping in February and I have used PSP since I started. I got CS3 today and just went straight for a LO instead of trying to learn it!

I never imagined they would be SOOOOO different!

Sorry, I just had to rant a little.

I felt the exact same way when I first tried to switch from PSP to PS7. For months, I just wouldn't even use PS because I didn't like at it made me so much slower, but finally I realized that I just had to learn on it because the quality and feature differencs were too great.

I'm sure that you'll catch on quick!

I felt exactly the same way. I started digi-scrapping with PSP, but when I got this Mac, I took the plunge and bought CS3. Now, I absolutely LOVE it and can't imagine being without it. You'll get used to it, I promise!

I feel your pain....

I went from PS7 to CS3 - and even THAT was a change!!

(still learning CS3, much to my dismay and frustration)

Hang in there :)

I'm on board. Still using PSP. Have PSE6. Have done one layout which I really don't like. Am working on another one, but am stuck. So...I just keep doing them in PSP. Sigh.

I hear ya. Can be so hard to learn a new program. I started with PSE3 and then tried to learn PhotoImpact. Never could figure PI out. I now use PS CS3 and luuurve it!

congrats on getting CS3!

Take your time and it will come. :)

I went from GIMP to PS in January and was all of a sweat after finishing my first page. :) And I think I'm still using only a small part of the things it can do.

This is why I'm so glad I started working with PS rather than PSP, almost everyone (except Shannon LOL) eventually seems to switch.

I'm sure you'll figure it out soon, and LOVE IT!

I'm so happy I made the move from PSP to CS3... it's amazing. That being said, though... I also shelled out the dough for the Total Training and I am so so so happy I did!! <3

Thanks girls! I am going to try really hard to not give up, but it was so tempting to throw in the towel last night!

The problem with PSP was that when I tried to do a full size page to print, it ran sooooo slow. I was thrilled when I did my page last night because out of all of my pages, this is the very first printable one!

Thanks again!

I transitioned from PSP to PS too and it can be difficult, but once you get the hang of it, you won't regret it. I had to force myself to use it and I just took baby steps, trying something new every time I opened it. I'm still amazed at the different ways you can do the same thing and how much functionality it has. If you have any questions, just ask, I know we are all happy to help.
