Mini Babe Call - Did You See?!?!

Click the link she shared in the original post and scroll down past the new products to where it says "Are you a dedicated pocket scrapper?" There is no thread. It's just an ad but it links to the email you send to if you want to apply.

I only have a few PL pages...I've really just started dabbling...I went ahead and applied. LOL! Worth a shot, right?!

I think I just might try this one. :O I can't believe I'm applying; I've never done a Babe call before because they usually want some original LOs and I'm a template scrapper.

oooh... I'm excited to see who joins us!! I love the look of pocket scrapping - I can't wait to be inspired to keep at it!! ;) The last two years I've done P365 in pocket style and I've fallen off not completing the pages. :o

I like your PL pages. Good Luck!

well I threw my name in the hat, but there are some amazing PL scrappers out there, so I can't wait to see who the new babes are :)

I did our Summer of Fun album in one of the PL minibooks and loved it. Launching into full-on PL in January now that I figured out how it will fit into my overall memory keeping plan...

i'm still not following... a lot has changed since i left scrapbooking, lol! That link just made me more confused.

Adi when was the last time you scrapped and were you a paper or digital scrapper at the time?

2010 or 2011 was when i was scrapping a lot and i was digi back then. The big trend back then was the 365 thing. what are the pockets? on index cards? I don't really understand.

I think the easiest way is to see it in action - I have some of my pocket scrapbook pages in my Flickr gallery here:

It's basically a weekly (or monthly, depending on how you do it) approach to memory keeping. I find it more complete than just my regular scrapbook pages, but it's more simple and photo/story focused. There are different configurations of the page protectors and it's done paper or hybrid or digitally. It's a very fun, easy to way to get those regular, everyday kind of moments recorded that might not necessarily make it onto a scrapbook page. I still love doing both - they totally represent two different kinds of stories of my family, to me at least.

Project Life is something started by Becky Higgins. The idea is to simplify scrapping by slipping your photos and journaling cards into predesigned pocket pages. The concept has grown to include hybrid and digi versions. Outside of the official Becky Higgins world, most people refer to it as pocket scrapping. Hope that helps.

Here's the link to Becky's site where there is a video explaining the concept of Project Life. Pocket scrapping was born from this: http://www.beckyhiggins.com/

Good luck to everyone who's applying!

I like your PL pages. Good Luck!

Thanks so much!

what are the pockets? on index cards? I don't really understand.

In the paper-scrapping world, it's literally 12x12 page protectors that are subdivided into 4x6 and 3x4 slots like the way photo albums are. (In reality they aren't all 12x12 and slots can be different sizes, but those are all the most common.) People stick photos in some pockets, journaling in other pockets, and decorative elements in others. The cards are more like 3x4 and 4x6 journaling blocks designed with a few decorative touches, word art meant to fit those size pockets, etc. Rather than being theme or moment based, many Project Life/pocket pages are more of a week in review page. As with most things, there are lots of different ways to do it digitally. Some people use the actual pockets, other people use 12x12 digital templates to subdivide their pages into "pockets." (For example, Traci has some sets of overlays that look like the plastic page protectors and others that use stitching to break up the page.)
