Mildly annoyed...

Okay, this is a silly thing to be annoyed about, but still, I am. So I thought I'd share... hmmm, maybe take a poll too!

So I go to a paper scrapping site (I hate breaking off), and I post my layouts there, even though they aren't paper. On this site, they have a weekly flattery thread, and it never fails that if I post in the gallery, my layout gets picked and put in the said thread. Which is great! I feel quite special when that happens!

BUT the part that annoys me is that they move my layout... I put it in my album, and if they like it, it gets put in the special "Bug Catchers Gallery" (website is called Lovebugs, and they "catch" special layouts by bugs (users), and put it in their "net" (the special gallery). And it annoys the crap out of me. Because I can never find my stupid layouts to see the comments... And they promise to put them back where they found them, but to date, they haven't. One or 2 of my layouts have just up and disappeared after they put them "back". I found one in a random gallery of someone elses.

Anyways, like I said, its a silly thing to be annoyed about, because its a huge form of flattery, but still. It irks me. Why can't they make a thumbnail? Or link up an image like we do here? Why does it have to go to a different place??

That would drive me insane. I like my stuff where I put it, thank you very much. Cuz now your gallery is incomplete, and the best LO's aren't in there!

If they're not using a gallery which allows for the move to be the least disruptive as possible, then I would think they shouldn't do it. Like here, if a layout of the week gets moved, it's no big deal - it's still in YOUR gallery, but now it's also in the LOTW gallery, kwim.

I dunno, I would probably find it annoying...I like being able to see all my layouts. But at the same time it's flattering, lol...so I don't really know what to think. Helpful, right?

i would be pretty annoyed too jae! they need to put it back when they are done. :glare:

Well see, thats what I mean. It's annoying, but why should I complain?? It seems so rude to complain when they are doing it to flatter you, lol!
