DH takes charge of the kids on Saturdays so I can work. He's a very caring, loving Dad, but the day-to-day parenting stuff just doesn't come easy to him. Still he tries really hard. Tonight at about 7:00pm Mya starts throwing a bit of a fit. Barron says to me, "I've changed her and we've been playing, I don't know what could be wrong." I asked him what he fed her for dinner, to which he responds, "That's what I forgot!"

Yeah, I'll bet that's why she's crying. Poor baby.

At least he tries... mine will only take the 6 year old and that's because he can pretty much fend for himself now. LOL!

Oh yeah, he tries and does really great. I really should be bragging on him rather than rolling my eyes. He keeps them engaged all day long with stories, songs, and games. While Mya is napping he does work around the house and finds ways for Jamin to help him. He even looks at the TV schedule, decides which programs would be good ones and picks out two hours in which they are are allowed to watch. On the other hand, they stay in PJs all day, eat who knows what and occasionally very obvious things get missed ... like dinner for the baby, lol!

Oh Misty poor Mya. I've had that happen here to. At least he did everything else:p he sounds like a really fun and reliable dad:thumbup:
Your so lucky ;)

mine did that with the sick one today....he was complaining of a tummy ache and dh said I don't know why...I said did you feed him lunch? ummmmmmmm

LOL We have so been there, unfortunately I think I have pulled this once or twice in the early sleep deprived states of my kiddos being babies. Those first few days Wes returned to work and I was on my own was scary scary. Now the baby always got good eating cause well it was attatched to the boob but my poor older children probably felt like red headed step kids LOL

Poor guy... and poor baby. lol Jaime does the SAME thing. Whenever he takes the girls out to give me a break... the last thing I say to him is... "Don't forget to feed them". ROFL They try.

LOL! I must admit though that on more than one occasion I've forgotten to feed my kids lunch.

he sounds like an awesome dad, despite forgetting to feed the baby, lol. Your DH needs to teach mine how to help me out like that! i can probably count on one hand the number of times he's changed the kids' diapers-we have 3 kids! i have always done everything. at times, i feel like a single parent, lol.

LOL! I'm suprise she didn't just go to the fridge/pantry and hang out (that is what mine would do). Course DH still may not have got it! OH well he tries, and she did get fed eventually!

LMAO! Poor baby but it does make a funny story. My boye wouldn't let us forget their food...even when they were younger (they are only 2 and 1 now so they are not too old even now!! LOL_
