Mean mommy.

Naomi has been giving me the HARDEST time going to bed and nap lately! It's been taking me like an hour to get her to bed and today she napped for like 15 minutes. That's all, she normally naps 2 hours.

So tonight I just kept her up. Late. Like 10:45.

Until she was whining "nigh-nigh" and trying to fall asleep on the couch. I picked her up and snuggled her for a minute and walked her into the room and she laid right down and went straight to sleep, while the overhead light was still on. Mommy 1, Naomi 0.

Okay so not my finest parenting moment but my sanity couldn't take anymore.

LOL I start sending my youngest who is 11 to bed at 9 and he is still up at 11 most nights. I say go to bed and say goodnight turn off the lights then he has to go potty. I say go to bed again turn off the lights and he needs a drink of water. I say go to bed and turn off the lights and he complains it is to hot. I say go to bed AGAIN and he says he needs his kitty(webkinz stuffed animal) to sleep with. Hes just started this recently. He will do whatever it takes to stay up. Argues it isnt fair his almost 15 and 17 year old siblings do not have to go to bed at 9 that they get to stay up til 10 or 11. They also dont argue as much when I wake them in the AM or get as moody about being woken up. Ughh it is really frustrating especially when you can tell he is tired but still wont go to sleep!!

I do this all the time! lol! though my kids are so crazy it doesn't seem to phase them...I so hope she will stay asleep for you!!

I have had to do that with my son many times. He would fight going to sleep so bad that I would end up being very stressed by the time I would get him down for his sleep or nap, so finally I just started letting him play until he fell asleep on the floor. Now he is finally on a good schedule and will actually run to his bed when I ask him if he wants to go to bed at bedtime. I feel you! Good luck!

That's just WRONG. I hope she woke up ten times during the night. {insert toung sticking out smiley}

If my kids miss their naps, it doesn't matter how long they're up that night, they never sleep well. I'm so jealous.
