"Me" weekend

DH took both kids to his parents for the weekend and I have been all by my lonesome for 24 hours. Don't get me wrong I have totally enjoyed it but honestly I don't know what to do with myself anymore. I scrapped 7 pages, caught up on all my DVR shows, played a cut throat game of Trivie with my sistah and now I'm waiting for my tiny little supper to finish cooking. But I'm ready now to see my babes. They however are having too much fun with Granny and Paw to even talk to me on the phone for longer than 30 seconds lol.

I asked Ella if she wanted me to come pick her up today and she said "no, Granny needs me to stay another night." Stinker Butt!

Awww. But isn't it wonderful that they love their Granny and Paw so much.

I'm very impressed with the 7 pages. I get a weekend to myself and I also get kinda lonesome. I usually end up not accomplishing nearly as much as I had planned.

Well..that's almost as many pages as I'd done since Christmas. My "to scrap" folder is shameful and so I'm trying to make a dent in it

I totally understand you. My mom and step-dad take my son the weekends I work, I love the free time after work, but I sure miss him.

um your parents can take my kids anytime. I would die for a full weekend by myself.

Oh it's not my parents....they don't do overnights very well and they only live 10 minutes away. They are at Brian's parents. He went down to hunt and I sent them with him lol

Believe me this is rare for me too

I'm jealous! Starting last year my parents have come here and watched my kids for one night over the summer so DH and I can get away overnight for our anniversary. But as much as I love DH and spending that time with him, I've got to confess that I'd probably choose a night all to myself if I could. And yes, I'm very impressed with the 7 pages too! I think my record is 3 in a day.

I'm with Traci on this one. My kids are just "spirited" enough that this mama would welcome a weekend to herself. The house would stay cleaned, it would be so quiet...sigh
