Max just finished off the children's Tylenol

Glad he's OK, Kellie.

If it makes you feel better, when Kiah was 2 or 3, she drank some gasoline. Dan had been mowing the lawn, and left the gas can out. The kids were playing tea party with it. Just had to give her milk and watch her. She didn't drink much, but I felt like worst mom ever.

Glad to hear he's ok!

When I was about 2.5, we had just gotten home from vacation and were unpacking. My older sisters didn't put the medicine bag up like they were told to do and I got the baby aspirin and downed the entire bottle. I had to go to the ER and have my stomach pumped. I was fine, but to this day I still remember having my stomach pumped.

Reading this very late but, OMG!! ((HUGS)) how scary that had to have been but thank God he is okay!

Shouldn't all medicine taste like ass, so the kiddos don't WANT to consume that much of it?! jessica always wants some of her grape medicine.... do we have junkies on our hands?!

LOL! How funny, I was thinking how much my kids like to take those meds too because they taste so darn good.

Glad to hear all is fine!

My kid still won't take the medicines even with the tastes. He's on amoxicilian right now and the only reason I am getting him to take it is cause I told him it was like Lola's pink milk. lol

Oh Kellie! How scary for you! I'm really so so glad to hear he's ok!

ps... that is a mistake anyone could make, my little tennyson has gotten into SO many things - seriously you think i would learn, but i am a space cadet! One day it was a GIANT KNIFE that he got off the counter or something, he's got his guardian angel working overtime I swear! You are a GREAT mom, don't beat yourself up k?

WHY DOES TYLENOL HAVE TO TASTE SOOOO GOOD?!?!?!

Shouldn't all medicine taste like ass, so the kiddos don't WANT to consume that much of it?! jessica always wants some of her grape medicine...

Yes! I agree that it tastes way too good for kids!!! My son takes Zyrtec every night and always asks if he can have more!

Glad he is OK! Scary to say the least. I used to complain that the bottles were too small and I was running out too fast, but I think I'm glad that the bottles are so small...almost impossible for a toddler to take a dangerous dose from one bottle.

I'm so glad he's okay Kellie! ((HUGS)) - don't be too hard on yourself either... I think kids are designed to do things like that to terrify their parents :)

Thank goodness he's okay! My DH has a terrible medicine story. When he was about 2, he found "M&M's" on his aunt's dresser. They put him into a coma for several days. Luckily he made a full recovery. (And if you want to talk suicidal toddlers, I've got a few other DH stories, too!)

Don't be too hard on yourself. I'm betting we've all had moments where it's only sheer luck and guardian angels that prevented a calamity--I know I have!

Glad your kiddo is ok! That would have worried me too.

Course if they make the med taste awful ... your kid won't take it and then they are miserable or sicker ...

Oh Kellie! So glad to hear that Max is okay. That is so very scary. I know I would have been freaked out too.

Well I am glad he is OK too, that must have been super scary for you though. Having twins is really hard with those kinds of things, if I have to give it to one of them the other one starts complaining he needs it too. I would give one the "real" thing and the other "smarties" That prolly makes me a bad Mom but I could only handle so much, KWIM? Happy to say they are older now and know the difference and we have had to have the "Peter cried Wolf" talk a zillion times but I think they finally get it now!!
