Make the itching stop!

I got a little too much sun at the beach and now my back itches like the dickens! Billy is not here right now to apply lotion so I asked my 5 year old to do it and you can imagine how that went. I have used a wooden spoon, a pen, a brush and rubbed against the couch like a bear on a tree. No relief!

Any suggestions for a sunburn itch?

the green aloe vera gel is the only thing that helps me..they have it as a spray too...

maybe some benadryl spray?

There is one kind of Aloe Vera Gel that we have that has some kind of pain killer in it...Its blue, I keep it in the fridge...Also Benedryl will help but it will zonk ya out!

Shannon is the queen of Sunburns...unfortunatly!

I have tried the aloe. All kinds. I even squeezed aloe out of my plant.

It is not a burn hurt but an ITCH. Annoying itch.

I got sunburned so bad about 18 years ago that I totally FREAKED out. I stood in the shower and cried, because everytime I got out I itched so bad I couldn't stand it. The itching is the healing happening...hopefully it will be over soon Amanda!
It was AWFUL!

yeah has solocaine or however you spell it in the blue one..forgot about that. They also make just a Solacaine spray that's good...more for real burns but works well for sunburn too

{{hugs}}

I am going through the same thing but I haven't really put anything on it I am just itching the crap out of my arms LOL

I was in the same boat last week. Unfortunately I pretty much suffered through it. I did take Benadryl one night when it got really bad though. Of course mine was self induced. I was stupid and went into the tanning bed for 10 minutes my first time in a couple of years!

what the other girls said the itch means it is healing....sucks yeah but at least you know it is going to get better soon.....Aloe is the only thing I have ever used
