Mad Men?

So who here watches "Mad Men"? I spend the last few weeks watching all 5 seasons well I design, and I really liked it. I found the first 3 seasons or so, no matter how much I liked the show...it just made me really anxious. LOL I couldn't handle all the smoking, drinking, treatment of women/minorities, kids in cars without seat belts etc. Am I the only weird one?

I watch it-but I just tried to put myself in that time period...the thing that struck me the oddest was in Season 3 (I think) when Sally made the drinks for her parents-I was like...WHOA!
I know it is a period drama so most of it is forgivable because well-that was the way things were...
I totally love it and held off on watching the last episode this season as long as I could because I hate it when it ends and I have to wait.
I hate Don as a dedicated husband too-HATE it...I like his womanizing ways and hope that the last scene in the last episode this season means I might get my jackass Don back.

I watch it and love it. It doesn't bother me to watch how different things were back then compared to now. I actually find it fascinating to see that era in action...the good and the bad.

I agree Shannon - good-husband Don is boring. ;)

I really dislike Meghan too-she bores me and although I find her beautiful=she needs to either get a backbone or get off my show.

I've only seen a few shows before went away from cable... but have it in my netflix queue. I find it all very fascinating - that period of time... I grew up with stories from my mom about that time... everyone drank and everyone smoke back them... and a lot of what happened is what I hear her talk about with her own family and neighbors... ;)

It really took me a long time to just enjoy the show. I just find that era mind blowing. I am exciting for it going into the late 60's when the more radical social revolution started, definitely saw some hints of that in the last season.

It took me awhile to get into it. I liked it, but I did think some of the way they did things made the characters hard to like. I haven't seen the second half of the most recent season though.

I don't watch it, but the guys in the office watch it and discuss every episode extensively during a season at the office, so I feel like I do! :p

Right now, they are in the midst of 'Breaking Bad,' so I feel like I watch that show, too.

I LOVE Mad Men. If you are just starting to watch you have to stick with it through the first few episodes and then you will be hooked.

I don't find it hard to watch..I think it's so interesting how just a few years before I was born things were so different than they are now...some good and some bad.

I don't know if I dislike Meghan so much as I dislike Don when he's with her..but I have a feeling that's all going to change very soon..after all he is Don Draper and he can't stay the good husband for very long.

And I didn't like how little we saw Betty this season either. She's one of those I love to hate.

I love anything period. I think its awesome, the only episode that was really strange to me was the one when they were on a picnic and there was trash everywhere! And they just left theirs. I remember riding in a car with no seat belt in the front seat. LOL! I was bored this season though. Megan is crappy with her stupid, ugly teeth, I can't stand Betty either. I like it better when Don is sleeping around.

And as for trash, I grew up in the 60's, and people just threw their trash out the windows of their cars. My dad was a chief of police, and we just threw our bags of trash out all the time. I have no idea what they were thinking. By the time I could drive, I think there were littering laws.
