Look at what my son brought home....

from school yesterday....a caterpillar....LOL! Isn't it too funny...I guess the kids stuffed them before spring break and then she had them in her yard until they sprouted.

Darcy, we had the seeds earlier, but the cup was decorated - LOL. Paul has the cutest crafts and then Jackson comes home with photocopies he has colored - :(

I'll ask Paul's teacher tomorrow how to put these critters together and let you know!

Sweet, thanks so much Penny

Thanks -- my little one is only 18 months but I am trying to get her into crafts now!! LOL. She LOVES to color and draw all the time which is a start. So much fun!

Sounds like a creative teacher! Is there a book or something like "Creative Crafts 101"?? My girls would love doing stuff like that but I can never think of anything...

That IS cute! Gosh the teacher is good isn't she. It would quite a responsibility looking after a classroom size amount of caterpillars. I'd be scared I kill one and have to explain to the child what happened

Fee :)

That is freaking CUTE! Is it grass seed? I have to try this with my dd, she'd love it. We planted a bean seed in a paper cup and that sucker has grown into a good sized plant! They love that stuff.

Now that I have read all the replies and saw that some of you were wonder how it was made, I bet it's a knee high filled with mulch/miracle grow and grass seeds. It would be "tight knit" that the stuffing wouldn't fall out but "loose" that the grass could easily grow through!!

Now I can't wait to see Penny's reply to see how the teacher made it!!!

Oh yay! My kids will love this. Definately an outdoors project for us. I can see dirt all over my house already.
