Lizzy=Police Officer

gosh trina. where to start. i started then stopped when i was prego with child #2. went to a vocational school from there and became a med. asst. loved it. did tons and tons of nursing stuff. at one point i was doing all paperwork/bloodwork for the 2 docs i worked for. one doc trained me on vasectomy assisting and caths. i can do it all. i feel i am a reg. nurse on the inside. i just need to finish like 2 preeq's and then my 4 semesters of actual nursing school. i'm scared out of my mind to do it though. it's tough. i been around too many jaded nurses to be optomistic about it. lol...did i answer your question? oh and no. currently i am not in nursing school but planning on starting up again verrrrry soon. it's go time...either way.

Nah--I've had too many experiences with being harrassed by cops for no reason. You're too much fun! Be an acrobat instead!

when I was in the hospital SO MUCH before I had Phin...

I felt like the nurses were cops. sheeesh.

Be a nurse, you still get to totally be the boss of everyone.

really...i'm thinking of becoming a police officer. screw nursing school...lol!

what do you think?!?!

I think......if I was in better physical shape I'd join you. I'd love to be K-9 officer.

Police officer may be a good way to go since nurses and others in the medical profession with convinctions like yours may soon have to walk away. What is it called, I can't remember....conscience clause? I'm sure you know what I'm speaking of.

i lurve being in charge (being a first born and all), but i loathe(!!!!!!!!) bitchy nurses. they need to get a serious handle on being kind to patients. lemme tell you that all of myyyyyyyyyyy patients always love me.

Well I say go for what it is that you really want to do. Too many of us are doing jobs we don't even like. I myself have always been in the law enforcement field (until becoming a SAHM) and love it. And you know my hubby is currently at the police academy (doing K9). I could never be a nurse. My mom and a lot of the women in my family are nurses and I think it takes a special person to do that job.

Tony is a cop as you know, and he's in the RCMP (the Mounties...with the red coats), and the benefits are great. You have to look at what police force you are getting into though. Some are very underpaid, so it's important to check out that info first.

But yeah, you'd be a hawt cop. LOL

Becca, he's going for K9? Oh wow how cool is that! Hey let me know if you ever do a page about it, I'd love to read it and see it!

Thanks, Lizzy :) It sounds like you have all it takes to be a great nurse...except that stupid little piece of paper that says you CAN be a nurse (darn thing, anyway, huh??).

I was just curious, because my dream is to go to nursing school and be a labor and delivery nurse, but I'm 40 and in the next 5 years will send all 3 of our kids to college, so I don't think college is in my future :(

Yeap he just got on with the county Sheriff here and is currently in Louisville, KY for training. He has been partnered with a 3 year old German Shepherd named Hank. Sounds like the bonding is going really well with them too. I will definitely be sharing photos and layouts when I get some!

that's awesome news, becca!!! love the name hank! :)

I was a cop/paramedic (one job) before becoming a SAHM. It was a good job when I was single, without kids, then I had Faith and I started to hate it more and more. Now that I've "escaped", I would never EVER go back. Not for all the coffee in... uh... Colombia... Starbucks... Coffeeville?

I still vote nurse, Fizz. Or teacher. Or some other kind of nurturing position. You are way too lovable to have to be mean all day long to bad people.

I don't doubt it! :P I think you'll do great in either field!!

see, thats the kicker. i'll kill the bad guys with kindness and remind them about Jesus. aren't i a genius. :)

Oh, good call, Fizz. You're right. What you need to do is become a youth pastor. Or youth ministry worker-but-not-quite-a-pastor depending on your beliefs.

i love ministering to people. you are spot on when you say i am nurturing. if i could breast feed orphaned kittens, i would...LOL!!! i dreamed of being a missionary all my life. i pray for the calling on my life everyday, it just seems Jesus has called me to missions right here in my backyard. so here i am.

super, LA! i checked it out and will do more throughout the day! didn't even know that was around. :) thank you!

Lizzy, being as sweet as you are I'd stick with the nurse thing, there would be too many criminals running around if you were a police officer! ;) JK! I think you should go with your heart!

I think you'd be awesome at either professions. I mean, you LOVE nursing and policing is in your blood so... they're both good choices.

For what its worth, I'd have to say that nursing suits you more. You think you've met some jaded nurses.... just wait until you're a cop ya know?
