lightroom or PS actions?

I couldn't live without either. I love my presets and my actions. I always import and start in Lightroom usually to work on my exposure and white balance and then I open in CS3 and finish up. I have purchased some amazing vintage actions lately and so I have been using those a ton.

I used to use Lightroom, but since Sarah opened up shop, I've been using her actions and I LURVE them!

I like both, but admittedly, I usually do all of my editing by hand, without actions. Occasionally, I will use LR presets or presets and/or actions that I've made.

I use actions... but long for the flexibility of processing multiple photos at once in Lightroom. Along with all the other neat-o functions.

It's the price tag. When I finally kick up to the Big Program from Elements I'll likely buy a package with Lightroom, start playing with photos in RAW, the works. But that's not in the budget just yet. ;)

thanks guys - sorry i had byron in my lap before (and now i have the windows and Fn keys pullled off my keyboard -grr)

anyway, i was reading the My Four Hens ps action review thread and i was just thinking i rarely run actions now cos i do mosta my editing in LR (old version but still); i tend to have 'just edit' days before i know i'm, say, going near the photo lab and might as well get some prints done, (rather than 'just scrap' days) that said i love my dodge and burn and unsharp masks for eyes and prefer the red eye tool in CS2 to 'finish off' my portraits like gracielou....so i just have LR open for a while and then PS so i dont usu run them at once. not so much out of laziness but more cos it bogs down my laptop

- so is it the colour effects you prefer re: actions or are the eye actions some of you use just the workflow for sharpening etc and it makes that easier for u? i'm curious

I love the actions from Sarah b/c they are so easy to use -- the photographer's tools is awesome for eye pop, color pop, teeth whitening, etc. but again, I can't compare to LR
