I'm here! We spent about an hour huddled in the basement under the stairs with Chloe. I haven't heard complete accounts of damage yet, but I know there were some tornadoes in and around Wichita. We are safe though.

Unfortunately, it looks like there is another storm brewing south of us, so we may be back in the basement before the night's over.

For now though, minus our phones being out, we are safe! Thanks for your prayers and concerns!

We are okay here in Haysville, spent the evening at a good friend's house in their basement riding out the storm. We lost power several times and our cell & internet service was not working very well down there either. I could receive texts but wasn't able to send any there for quite awhile and couldn't access Facebook or anything from my iPhone either. We are home now and so far just have lots of tree limbs and leaves down in our neighborhood. So far I've heard reports of a QuikTrip damaged as well as Spirit Aerosystems and the Oaklawn neighborhood.

My family in Wichita all made it through okay too, thankfully. I was so worried. The rough stuff all stayed west of us here in Southeast Kansas.

I've been so sick the last several days that I hadn't paid attention to the news, which is a good thing otherwise I would have been worried. My dad just drove from Oregon to Illinois over the last 2 days and I guess he drove though a lot of tornado warnings in Iowa. He lives on the Iowa-Illinois border in a trailer park, so these storms always worry me.
