Not just facial skin, but your whole body skin. I recently moved to a city that is known for having hard water and thus I have a water softner. My skin cannot get used to it. I am sure being winter doesn't help, but its so dry and by evening, I am just itchy. Then when I scratch, I get big bright red welts. It looks terrible and I have no idea what to do or use. I have slightly sensitive skin, but I don't usually have to watch what I use. Help!
 
Surgeon's Skin Secret. I get it through QVC but it looks like you can also get it through Amazon. The stick that looks like a roll on lasts a long time. I prefer the vanilla scented to the unscented but there are also lots of other scents.
 
I use coconut oil in the shower, before I get out. It stays in a mostly solid state, at least solid enough to put on. One of the reasons I started using it is because I hate fragrance in my lotions, and when they don't have fragrance, they don't smell good either. The coconut oil smells like coconut as you put it on, but you don't end up smelling like a coconut when you get out of the shower. Anyways, I have always had dry skin, and it softens my skin perfectly. And got rid of eczema on my elbows in a couple of months. It's not cheap but my Costco has a big tub for about $16. I bought some expensive fancy oil from Tropical Traditions, but prefer the Costco one.
 
I use baby oil before I get out of the shower and then dry off. At night I use coconut oil before going to bed because it absorbs fast and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. It also helps fade stretch marks and dark spots ;)

And every time I read this thread I keep thinking it says "Let's talk about SIN" !!! LOL

aveeno is amazing.

when we switched apartments this past summer, i had the same issue. it's taken a full six months for my skin to stop reacting to the water. i started using aveeno lotion every time i got out of the shower, and cetaphil as a body wash since it's the most gentle thing i could get. it helped, but i think my skin just needed time to get used to the water.

i hope you figure something out!

I love this for me...it is long-lasting but not greasy.

Rachel has bad eczema and we've recently started using CeraVe on her...it has made a huge difference in her skin.
 
Yeah, I forgot to mention, I am prone to acne and can't stand anything to feel greasy on me. Would the baby oil or coconut oil lead to acne or make me greasy?
 
I've found both of those oils to make Rachel feel greasy. The Gold Bond and Cerave are both non-greasy, but long-lasting. Maybe you could see if any shops around you have some trial/travel sizes so you can see how you like them. I know the Gold Bond Ultimate has a travel size...not sure on any of the others mentioned
 
I am a huge fan of Kiehl's products. They are a little expensive but I've found them really worth it. I always had a reaction with Aveeno and have very sensitive skin. I haven't found a Keihl's product yet that reacts badly with my skin and living in Canada, the winter is really tough on my skin.
