Ok y'all, I'd love to hear some thoughts and opinions on scrapping as our kids are aging.
So I started this digital scrapping journey back in the summer of 2016, so 17 years ago. For the most part, I stay caught up, I go through little spells where I'll scrap a ton, and then don't touch it for months (I'm currently in one of the don't touch it spells). I still love it, but sometimes I can get bored because I do feel like I am just scrapping them same things over and over again, just for a new year.
I'm already trying to figure out my approach for this holiday season now that my oldest will be off at school, I know she'll be home for part of the hoopla, but do I need that two page spread of the kids decorating their gingerbread houses, or decorating the tree, every single year?
Or the pumpkin patch with everyone picking a pumpkin? Will the kids care if I didn't take those and scrap them in the future? Or will they be happy that there is just one photo that shows we did it and call it good?
I'm to the point that with the kids being almost 11, 15 and 18, I don't know that every single thing needs to be or should be documented. If I could get down to one album a year, with the exception of vacation albums here and there if they're to big to go into the yearly album.
What do you think? Anyone having these same thoughts? Changed your approach as your kids have gotten older? I want it to be meaningful, not events we're doing just to document them, or we're doing an activity, better scrap it, or else it didn't happen.
My current stash of books, my cabinets are almost full.
