Leave the lappy on overnights while backing up?

Anyone? Not sure if I should just leave it on when I'm home after work, or overnight or turn it on when I leave for work, etc. I have 230,150 MB left to backup... that'll take some time!

I left mine on overnight for a few weeks while I did my initial Mozy backup. Running it for only a few hours a day was too slow.

Me too! I am in the final days of my Backblaze initial backup.....and I have been leaving it on full throttle (with the occassional shut down or reboot to give it a rest).

I run it overnight or while I'm at work all day. Backed up 112 gb today! Woot!

I was just using flickr to backup my photos and layouts and I was putting a 2 gig folder up to upload every night and leaving it on.

Considering I never used to shutdown ever, it'll be ok I never used to turn off my laptop OR my desktop, and I never had any issues. The only reason I don't leave mine on all the time now, is that Jordan is the electricity nazi.
