I picked it up from Leap Frog in a bundle: the reader, 5 books and the case for $64.99. It's a Christmas present, so we haven't used it yet, but he uses one at kindergarten and talks about it all the time.

Check Costco, too - ours had the reader and twelve books (the six short vowel sounds and the six long vowel sounds) for $44.99.

Of course, now it's on sale LOL! I bought it about a month ago. L.J. is actually reading pretty good now, but I think it will help him with those hard to sound out words.

I bought it on BF at Fred Meyer with 2 books for like $45.00 {books were seperate}...gonna be my DD's XMAS present {she will be 5 in Jan}...and I think it will be PERFECT! Thinking about getting this for the youngest as well {he is only 3}, but I already got him a Leapster 2 and game...so we will see...
