It's a series. 
He's chatting with his game friend who apparently made some comment about being stupid. Landon then goes into a little mini lecture about how Nus (that's a game name btw) is NOT stupid. That no matter what Nus says, Landon will never believe he's stupid. He just needs to stay in school and do a good job. Maybe even one day, he'll be smarter than his parents.
