Kung Zhu?

I figure you ladies can help with just about anything. lol

I'm making a wish list for my son's birthday, and i need to know about Kung Zhu pets and armor. Can they battle anywhere or do you have to have an arena? Do they need armor to battle? Any info would be appreciated, considering I am totally clueless at this point! :p
 
the arenas and armor are optional :) they will make sounds at each other and drive around without the arenas/tracks.
 
oh! and steer clear of the zhu zhu pets, even if they don't look girly- boys may freak out and yell at you for getting them a girly toy :P
 
meh- just buy crappy batteries that won't last very long ;) i am a very crabby person and they don't annoy me as much as some of the other noise makers they've had.
 
Honestly, I don't care if I like them or not, as long as they play with them! We've got so many toys, my criteria is more about size rather than how annoying they are.
 
my kids played with em like twice and then they disappeared into the bowels of the toybox...idk if they were worth the purchase really and I only paid $5 each for stocking stuffers LOL
 
I don't even try to predict what my kids will actually play with anymore. Of course, they say they will play with everything they ask for... sure you will, maybe once or twice! I try to make sure their wishlist is reasonable and go from there. Legos seem to be the only thing they consistently come back to, but how many sets can you have?? Seems like the other "thing" they play with are the crappy toys you get at fast food restaurants. We have a gazillion in a big box and every once in a while, I get rid of a good portion of it while they are sleeping.
 
I just wanted to pop in and say that my Target has all of the Kung Zhu pets, clothes & sets on sale for 30% off. The pets were marked at $3.50 each with clothes between $2-$4. The sets were $8 to $14-ish. I just did a quick look over cause my DS was with me and he loves all of the Zhu Zhu Pets & the Kung Zhu and he was begging me for one. I'm thinking of going back and buying some for his birthday/Christmas.
 
I just got a couple for my 3 year old and he loves them. They had them on sale for $5 a piece at Target, the kids cashed in some piggy bank money.

Then at our other Target had the Kung Zhu's on clearance for $3.50, so I got 2 for Christmas & they had the battle arena on clearance for $13.65, so I got that too to put back for Christmas.
