KS/MO girls check in!!

UMMMM I did not wanna read this, i guess i should check the weather, I am In illinois and I know it is starting to look funky out there!

I JUST checked weather.com, and it looks like it's going to be hitting me some time after midnight (I'm in STL). And I guess it's going to be BAD.
 
It was bad here, several tornados, but no touch downs that I know of... hail, thunderstorms, bad winds
 
Glad you're okay Sara!! It's not doing anything at all down here in my area so far though!
 
Looks like the brunt of the storms are in Northern MO - Sedalia and Kirksville...heading down I-70. I had better give my DD a call..She lives up in Columbia.

whew I got worried about my MIL there for a minute. She lives in Joplin but that's like the lower eastern corner of MO. I can't imagine living where tornadoes are so frequent. We get a few here every now and then but I must admit I have only ever seen the tail of one ...it was on April fools one year and my dh was standing at the back door hollering for me to come see the tornado..I was like, nope.....not falling for it, not coming. He finally SCREAMED to COME SEE NOW and I ran to the back door and saw the tail of it swirling back up into the sky. We lived in a single wide mobile home then and it would have nailed us I bet. A couple neighborhoods over, one of my friends' girls were being babysat in a doublewide trailer. The lady that was babysitting grabbed her OWN kids and went to the bathroom and left one of my friend's girls asleep in a playpen in a sunroom with three walls of GLASS! The room blew totally away ....and get this...the baby in the playpen were the ONLY things left in that room! They found the ceiling fan from that sunroom like 4 miles away? LOL Dont' know why I had to ramble on and on about that but ya'll just got me thinkin'!

we had 80 mph winds at 1 am.. lost power twice... and all I could think of was how pissed off I was that I hadn't saved the LO I was working on with one of Traci's new kits............. poof. Grr.

We've got some limbs down, but other than that, all appears okay. There were two tornado touchdowns.. one house about 40 mins from us got moved completely off it's foundation.....
 
All we ended up getting was some crazy fast winds, lots of loud thunder and some rain & lightning. We never lost power or anything, although they said on the news that out on the north side of town they had hail but we never had any here.
