Kids destroyed DH's computer

I'm not sure who/why/how, but I was on the couch, and hear a bang, then crying. I go out, the kids tipped over Tony's computer tower, and now it will turn on, but it is a black screen. I think it's dead. It was on the floor, so it only got tipped over, not dropped. Tony is pissed off of course, I'm going to move my work stuff over to my craptop so he can use my PC. But I know it's not the same.

Argggggg! I just bought him this computer last Christmas. I'll bring it to my computer guy and see if anything can be done with it. I believe he had everything burned to DVD after our EHD crashed a couple of weeks ago, plus we had Mozy running, so quite a bit of it should be there, but that's not the point! Kids! :cursing:
 
KIDS!!!

I know a hard fall did in the HD on my laptop but, you never know, might be some silly thing like a connection knocked loose, so I'll cross my fingers for you that it can be easily fixed!
 
Crap! I worry about one of mine doing something like this all of the time! I hope it's an easy fix for you!!!

Unless it's under warranty that would be voided if you opened the case on your own, you guys can just go and gently check all the connections to make sure something just didn't jiggle lose.
 
He's going to drive out with it today to see what the damage is. He says he thinks the hard drive is gone, which means that now we only have one set of backups again. This technology breaking crap is getting OLD.
 
Oh no! I'm sorry Jamie! I hope it's just that something got kicked out of place and not that it's broken for good.
