Kara, How is Timothy doing?

I've been keeping up on FB. Obviously, I don't have all the details, but Timmy is home, and he seems to be back to his happy smiling self. He is such an adorable little boy!

He's doing great now but it was a rough road. He was in the hospital (PICU) for a month due to surgery complications and a nasty strain of pneumonia. He was very, very sick -- sedated and on a ventilator for about 3 weeks and we nearly lost him at least 3 times. They had to replace the trach which is fine with me -- I'd rather he have a safe airway than to risk something catastrophic over cold & flu season. They expect that he will be big/strong enough to take it out next spring or summer.

He came home last Monday and is quickly getting back up to full speed. He's at about 90% right now and we're all loving having him home again. :wub:

He also just got a haircut and it makes him look so much older!

Great news Kara! And he is ridiculously adorable. That smile is something else--and after all he has been through!
 
Another super strong and adorable little one!!! So sorry you had such a rough road. Glad he's doing better, though!!!
 
i'm sure that was a really fought time, but so glad that he's back at home and doing well! he looks so happy :)
 
Reading about what he went through broke my heart... His smile is so cute!! Glad he's much better now! <3
 
Oh goodness he is just too cute! Such a scary amount of things for you all to go through! I am so happy things are looking up!
