It isnt quite as black as the sample but it does stand out with the others around it. I am happy with it and think it shows who he was very well.

Jessica it looks great. I know how important it was that it be right so I'm glad the company took care of it as they should have from the beginning! It does show clealy who your son was and how much he was loved. Hugs to you.
 
Jessica -- the black looks very good and really makes those pictures stand out. It shows how much he was loved and what a wonderful person he must have been. I'm glad they made things right with the granite.
 
I am so glad it all got sorted out in the end. The black looks so much better. What a wonderful tribute to your son. I love the plaque.
 
It's beautiful Jessica. I'm so glad you stuck to your guns and made them correct if for you. I'm sure it was a costly mistake for them and you probably helped out some future customers of theirs by making sure they put it right. They shouldn't want to do that again.
 
Oh I'm so glad they fixed it - the black is beautiful - and I am still stunned by the rest of it - so beautiful. What a wonderful tribute to your son!
 
I am actually a lot happier now because I talked to my aunt and because of the wait time to get the correct granite we actually got a larger piece of granite at no additional cost. My aunt told me that tonight.

We also did find out the other granite was only being used as a subsitute because they felt we had waited so long to get it placed and did not want to make us wait longer. I guess that is a good gesture but still wish they had contacted us first before just doing it. But after all is said and done it turned out beautifully and we have decided to add to small sculptures on each side of the vase. One will be a buck (deer) and I am debating between a wolf, bear or labrador retriever because that was my sons dog's breed. He loved all wildlife but especially loved bears and wolves. So I am not sure yet. I found the buck already. Just looking for the other one to order now.

It's so beautiful! I really like that it's black and that it's a larger piece compared to the original stone. It is an incredibly beautiful tribute to your son.
 
That is simply beautiful. And it gave me chills when I realized your son and I share the same birthday. Blessings to you all.
