I've been around the Sweet Shoppe for awhile, buying but not participating....thought it was time!
I'm Heather. Stay at home mom of three little ones. Take LOTS of photos of course. Had a disastrous hard drive crash earlier this year, so I'm starting all fresh. It was fun to go crazy buying new supplies, but I still mourn the loss of the parts of my stash I couldn't get back. And of course I'll never stop mourning the loss of all the photos I hadn't backed up (most of about a four year period...my older daughter's entire life). BACK UP YOUR PHOTOS, FOLKS! :)

Welcome Heather! I live in fear of an HD crash, yet I never back up as often as I should. I keep telling myself to do it, but then I forget, or put it off till later.

I, too, am mourning the loss of my EHD. {sniff sniff} I thought mine was backed up online, but it hadn't gotten everything backed up. Fortunately I didn't lose any photos (I have them backed up to a secondary EHD AND printed AND scrapped, lol); I would be dying inside if i had. As it is, I'm just super sad, but it's mostly sentimental.

Anyway, have fun scrapping your memories with the Sweet Stuff!

Hi Heather :) I too have been scarred by the dreaded HD crash! I lost 6 months of photos including all my wedding pics . . I was devastated, but I cant imagine losing 4 years. I feel for you!
 
Welcome Heather! So glad you are jumping in and participating! :) Sorry about the hd crash though. That is my worse fear but it sounds like you are dealing with it by having a positive attitude. :) So nice to meet you!

So sorry to hear about the HD crash... that is my fear because I'm so slow at backuping my stuff... hubby finally put crashplan on my computer, so my desktop is backing up nightly...

Losing the kids photos is a fear of mine... but ironically if it were up to me, photos would never get backed up. I am so bad about that stuff. Thankfully, my husband is neurotic about it. :wub:
 
Oh the horror!! I cringe every time I hear about crashes like that. I've had a few over the years but nothing like that and I've certainly learned my lesson.

I'm glad you've jumped in, we're glad to have you here.
 
Welcome to the forums!! So sorry about the loss of photos! I lost a couple month's worth and it was devastating enough... Ugh. I can't even imagine your heart break!
 
Hi Heather and welcome to SSD! Sorry to hear about your hard drive crash. :( I always keep a backup of the backup and a backup of the backup. So many stories have scared me.
 
Welcome to the group! Oh, that is heartbreaking about losing your photos. I don't know what I would do. My husband is always on top of that, otherwise I'm sure that would happen to me too! Glad you're posting :)
