my big strong United States Army Officer...

jumping off the lawn mower and running for his LIFE up the driveway b/c he ran over a yellow jacket nest!!

I am still sitting here with tears rolling down my face b/c I was laughing so hard.

So I was standing in the kitchen and he comes slamming into the house holding his hand out and the look on his face made me think that he'd cut off a finger and my mind flashes with images of blood and ER trips and then I realize that he's just been stung by a yellow jacket on his finger. I almost cannot type this I'm laughing so hard. Yes, I know it hurts and yes, I have sympathy but seriously..you would have thought he had been shot.

This is the same man who has been in a real live WAR. ROFL!!!

and the best part..

as he was running away as fast as his feet would carry him (while leaving the lawn mower running I may add) one came after him and stung him on the BUTT!! lol!


I told him God was punishing him for cutting the grass on a Sunday!! lol!
 
LOL oh that is hilarious. My dh is the same way too though...he can face anything but a cold, or something small and silly and then he's THE biggest baby! did you kiss his boo boo? ROFL
 
LOL I love your description but Ive been stung by those suckers before and they do hurt pretty bad at first. Like being burned by a ciggarette. It gets better pretty quick though

and to think I just fussed at my DH b/c he swore he'd cut the grass this weekend..and hasn't yet..and probably won't since the baseball game is on..blah

oh well something for him to look forward to after work one day this week

Those things totally hurt when they sting, but the picture you painted made me laugh so hard!! Why is it that guys can be afraid of the smallest things? And the fact that one stung him in the rear made it even funnier. Thanks for the laugh, and sorry Brian, but you've got a whole bunch of women laughing at you! :)
 
GMBO oh that is funny...I could just imagine it as well! I've never (knock on wood) been stung by one...but it does seem funny that someone who has been through what he has... that that is what brings him down!
 
lol..yes it was so hilarious..I had break-through bouts of giggling all night when I'd think about it again. I mean it was like something you see on a commercial..especially the sting on his butt. He was a good sport about me laughing at him though. It's just so so rare to see him lose his cool over anything. I had to enjoy it while it lasted lol.

Oh and while we were "examining" the sting on his rear-end..DS came in and said "Daddy? You've got a bo-bo on your butt?" which sent me into another fit of giggles.

too funny.
