Instead of putting the right sides together and sewing, then flattening out and having a pretty seam, you put the wrong sides together and the seam sticks up in the middle, then when you are done you make little cuts up and down every single seam, wash it and it gets all frayed... that is why they call it a rag quilt It is easy peasy!
