Agreed. This gallery rocks. I love that it's so 'journal' and 'photo' based. Does that make sense? I can appreciate but I don't idolise those fantasy layouts I've come to expect from other places, whereas here I am blown away constantly.

Agreed!! Its so inspiring and I'm like Eboy, its hard to like those fantasy layouts who just use stock photos and have no real meaning behind the layout!

Is that what they do? Those arent pics of their kids/children, etc? What's the point in that? That would be weird to me to have a printed album or something, showing my friends and they'd ask "oh, who's this"??? I dunno, just thought they were cute so I put them on my LO? What the heck?

I agree, In my short time here, thus far....I really enjoy browsing our gallery here and leaving love. I love reading others journaling and seeing all the adorable children we all have!

I think people who do that are scrapping to create works of art not preserve memories. Just like painting or whatever. It's a valid use of the form, just not the way I like to use it. And sometimes, even I have to remind myself that I am in the business of capturing and preserving memories, not creating art for others to ooh and aah over.

But that's another reason I love it here too - lots of inspiration for telling my stories in a beautiful way.
