Just got my new Bamboo Fun and it rocks!

I had been using a Wacom Graphire tablet for the past couple years but it went wiggy on me tonight. I ran out to Best Buy and got the Bamboo Fun and I love it already. I just love the feeling more.

Anyway....back to playing!

I was just looking at this online a few minutes ago. How is it better than the graphire? That is what I have now, and it is a couple of years old - about time for an upgrade.
 
I got the small one because Best Buy didn't have the medium one in stock. I like it better already because of the "texture" of it. I seem to have more control over the pen. The Graphire was great, but sometimes, when I drew, I had to put a piece of paper over the pad to get a better response from the pen. The Bamboo Fun's pad is less slick....not sure if I am explaining that well. Also, the hot keys are kinda cool.

so you are happy with the small size? I want to get one, but if i do was only thinking of getting the small but wasn't sure if it would be too small..
 
yay for you!! new toys are the best! my hubby said he almost got me one for mom's day but got me a laptop bag instead... which was fine b/c i have been wanting that anyway. oh well... guess it'll have to wait until my bday in november now... booo!!

Oh I just got one, too! I'd never had anything like this before, but I LOVE it.

I got the small size, too, since I'll use it with my laptop on the couch most often. Like I said, I have nothing to compare it to, but I do like it!
 
Omgsh! I am gettin the Bamboo fun! So many have told me about it, we're just waiting to see if we can get one here in AK or if I have to order from WACOM. I mentioned once wanting a WACOM and someone told me they loved their Bamboo Fun. I was gettin medium. It's part of my first mommy's day gift. I was treated VERY well this year! First is the best they always say right? Anyways. Now I'm suuuuper excited!!!! Can't wait to get mine!
 
I'm glad you are liking it Susan! I knew from your questions a few months ago that it wouldn't be long until you got one! :) What are you thinking of the pen nib? I'm still having issues with it. :shrug:
 
The small size seems fine to me...but I was used to that from my previous Graphire. The nib seems fine so far. What trouble are you having?

I absolutely LOVE my Bamboo Fun. I also have the small one and extracting is sooooo much easier!! I have only done a few LO's with extractions but it is so much easier. I have not done too much else with it but I would NOT know what to do with a mouse anymore, love my pen!!!
 
Oooooh thats cool Susan! I keep hoping that my Graphire 3 breaks so I can get a new bamboo one. But alas the darn thing just keeps on going lol!
