This is a question for our own Melissa!! 
I've never been on a cruise, either... Hubby wants to go on really badly - especially after we get done with a vacation where we drive like 700 miles! haha
A few of our friends and families rave about Alaskan Cruises. So that is on my list. I also am in awe of the ads for those River cruises in Europe... I think those would be awesome, too.

I went on the Carnival Inspiration cruise for 3 days...it was one of the best times of my life. Hubby and I went with 3 other couples and we were the ones who enjoyed it to the fullest. Most of them got motion sickness and one couple didn't make it out of the room. There is so much to do within the cruise. Eat, shop, relax, drink, captain's dinner (formal). We got up every morning to watch sunrise and we made it a point to be out for sunset. We have another one coming soon (just need to book) but this time we are going alone.

We've been on cruises to the Mediterranean, Alaska and the Caribbean. The Mediterranean (France, Spain, Italy) was probably my favorite because of the places we visited and the ship had so much to do! It was the largest cruise ship in the world and had a zipline, rock-climbing wall, waveider pool, carousel, mini-golf in addition to the usual stuff (shows, pools, casino, lots of restaurants). Surprisingly, the ship didn't feel crowded despite holding about 6000 people). The stops were great but exhausting (e.g., touring Florence, Rome and Naples on consecutive days).
Alaska was a little more relaxing since the agenda wasn't as crazy. We were so glad we had a balcony because half of the time, we sat out there just watching the spectacular scenery float by (including a pod of Orcas that raced the ship for a while one evening). The ship was a little smaller with less to do, though.
We did a short Disney cruise to the Bahamas which the kids loved since they were still small at the time. Disney does great cruises and they take you to their own private island where the beach is, of course, perfect. Lots of character interaction, really good food.
I've liked the variety of cruises we've been on. They've all "felt" different, but all good. We really like cruising because it allows you to see a lot without having to pack up all your stuff and move around yourself. Plus, if you have kids, there's the convenience of kids clubs and familiar foods for them.
We have always brought our kids. My kids are not necessarily gung-ho "participators" at typical kid things so I was surprised at how much they have always liked the kids clubs and events. Two of the cruises have been with extended family and that really makes it extra fun since you can all do your own thing but you still can meet up for meals and spend time together. Honestly, I've always also been surprised at how much I enjoy cruises since I hate being cooped up with people and I'm not really a big fan of boats. It just offers so many benefits, though, that I end up having a great time.

I don't think we'll be going on anymore cruises for quite some time b/c we just can't afford it now and with the exchange on the American dollar it is even more money now. But....I've loved the previous cruises my hubs and I have gone on to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexico and last year we went to Alaska with my daughter and SIL. I love cruising and if I could afford it, I'd go every year. Some day we want to do a 3 week Panama Canal cruise.

It's been years since I was on a cruise (since before DH died) but we used to enjoy quick trips to Half Moon Cay on Holland America (when we lived in Georgia it was easy to leave from Tampa).
I think the European river cruises would be awesome... I've seen a lot of Europe over the years but that would be such a cool way to see so many places again!
My cousin just returned from a 2-week cruise that went to Iceland, Scandinavia, Russia, and some other places in between. He said it was quite the trip.

I absolutely LOVED, LOVED our 1st cruise last summer! We went with Carnival and it was a 9 day Eastern Caribbean (Half Moon Cay, Bahamas, San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, USVI and Grand Turk)! It was so amazing and there was so much to do on the ship! Our was a girls cruise and we enjoyed every single minute of it and the food was to die for and you could literally eat 24/7!

We have done four cruises in the last five years and only missed last winter to have a baby! I love cruising and think it's a fantastic was to vacation. I'm very "go, see, do" on trips and being on a cruise makes me slow down and relax a bit.
We always do Carnival and love their food and entertainment. We actually already have Teddy's first cruise booked. It will be in January- the week before his first birthday. I'm so excited.

I've never been on a full fledged cruise. We did take a day cruise from FL to the Bahamas just after we were first married, but that doesn't quite count.
We have plans for a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas for my oldest middle's 16th birthday in 2.5 years! I'm so excited! It will only be a 3 or 4 day cruise (depending on the price). Just so we can see how everyone will do. My girls get motion sick, but with dramamine they are fine. I'm hoping that will be the same for the cruise. If this one goes well, I would LOVE to do a Disney cruise to Alaska.
I know that other cruiselines are cheaper than Disney, but I just love Disney too much, and I love that it's so family oriented. We may go on this cruise with friends of ours and their 3 kids, so that would be so much fun! And if I can talk my parents into it, we might try to get them to come along too!

My mom, son and I did a Disney Cruise to the eastern Caribbean for seven days two years ago. It was amazing. Nicholas loved it and still talks about it being the best vacation he has been on. We went to St Martin/St Marteen, St Thomas and the Disney owned Castaway Cay. While Disney was more expensive, I found it well worth the price, but it is the only one I have been on.
