Happy New Year Sweet Shoppers!
After 3 years of our Passport to Sweet Stuff challenges, we wanted to change things up this year to keep our monthly prompts fresh and inspiring for you guys! We know change can be scary, especially when you've gotten into a groove with a system you're used to, but we think our new challenges might be familiar to you if you played along with last summer's shadowbox event!
When SugarBabe Loni and I started discussing whether or not to update things for 2022, she shared how much she loved our summer challenge break, and with such a positive response from our community too, modifying that special event into an ongoing monthly format was a no brainer, and so our This or That? challenges were born!
As you might suspect from my little intro, each month we'll be presenting you with 15 challenges that give you options on which path you want to complete to earn your Sweet Rewards! You can choose this challenge or that challenge, it's entirely up to you on which prompt is more to your liking, and like we always do... we encourage you to think outside the box to put your own creative spin on a challenge to make it work for your photos and memories!
I think we can agree that our monthly trackers have become a signature part of our challenges here at the sweetest spot in town, and our This or That? challenges are no exception! Take a peek at the gorgeous new tracker Loni created with A New Year from Red Ivy Designs. You'll be using this fabulous image to keep track of the layouts you complete to earn your Sweet Rewards. So right-click and save the image below to edit as you complete your challenges throughout the month...
A 120x120px image should fit perfectly in the tracker above, so when you complete a layout for one of our 15 challenges, simply resize your layout to fit and pop it into your tracker, simple as that!
As a friendly reminder.... pages created for our This or That? challenges should be created primarily with Sweet Shoppe products meaning that at a glance they are OBVIOUSLY made with products purchased from Sweet Shoppe Designs. Small touches or outside templates are absolutely fine!

Whew! So many fun options, don't you think? One of my absolute favorite aspects of this new system is that we get to show off a heap of inspiring pages from our talented SugarBabes too! As you can see, each of them put their own spin on the option they chose, be it interpreting the challenge literally or thinking a bit more outside the box. So... like I mentioned earlier, get creative and most importantly, have fun! We aren't ever looking to disqualify someone from their chance to earn rewards or win sweet stuff, so if you think a page you're creating fits the challenge, go for it!
Speaking of Sweet Rewards and FREE stuff... like our previous challenge systems, the more you scrap, the sweeter your rewards and the better chance you have to win sweet stuff too! Like our passport challenges, you can choose your favorite This or That? challenges in ANY order, anywhere you like on the tracker, to reach our monthly reward tiers!
Simply upload your FULL SIZE completed tracker to an image hosting site like Imgur, Dropbox, Google Photos, etc. so that we can see your 1150px wide image in its full glory by 11:59pm EST on Monday, January 31st, 2022, and your Sweet Rewards will be automatically sent to you by our Challenge Fairy Vanessa...
5 challenges complete = 20% Sweet Rewards
10 challenges complete = 30% Sweet Rewards
ALL 15 challenges complete = 40% Sweet Rewards + a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the shoppe!
Please Note: Sweet Rewards are sent out during the second FULL M-F week of the following month!
In addition to our monthly $50 grand prize winner, we'll also choose a couple of winners from scrappers who participate in our companion Show Off & Shout Out thread! Leave love, show off the page you're most proud of creating each month, or give a shout out to pages other scrappers have created that inspired you, and you could earn free stuff! Check out those details and jump into the fun... it's a great way to help make our community sweet & supportive!
