for apple dumplings, lol. i remember my mom used to make them all the time when i was a kid. i loved how it made the house smell so good. when she gets off from work i'm going to call and see if she can tell me how she used to make them. in the meantime, i've been looking them up online. most of the recipes i find involve biscuit or pie crust bought from the store. kinda cheating, lol. i think my mom made them completely from scratch. i don't remember. i did find this recipe. i may try that. or i may go ahead and cheat and go get some pie crust, lol. they just sound so good.

that is crazy. Seriously Mountain Dew in it?! My 18 year old loves Mountain Dew and promised he'd eat this if I made it (and he hates apple pie and dumplings). LOL

omg. pioneer womans are SO GOOD!! i ate a couple right out of the oven, poured some milk over them actually in the bowl. i wish the apples had been a bit softer; maybe if i cooked the apples a bit by themselves before i wrapped them. but they are still very good. i highly recommend them!!
