alright gang. the lift this week is kind of a selfish one. kind of. LOL
we have some AMAZINGLY talented babes here at SSD. your job this week is to scrap a babe from this gallery here. in addition to lifting a babe....i want you to lift someone who is not your typical 'style.' for example, i LOVE keely's layouts, but well, i typically feel the need to fill every single piece of space on the page. keely's pages are much more concise and clean, yet still quirky and she always has a story to tell.
i'm going to lift her think happy thoughts


so go on, challenge yourself and lift a babe! :wub:

Everytime I see one of YepBrooke's pages I go, good golly, how does she do that, so many photos, a story and drop dead gorgeous fun things all over the page! I am gonna give this a whirl! oh dear, forgive me in advance Miss Brooke!

That is hilarious, Angie... I picked the very same layout of Brooke's to lift! :) My layout's almost finished -- I'll wrap it up in the morning! Great minds think alike (and Brooke just rocks). :)

Will have to check out that gallery later today... I'm sure I'll have no problem finding something... the problem will be narrowing it down to 1!

Here's my attempt... definitely different for me, as I am not much of a layerer, and I don't think I've ever put my photo on TOP of everything else! The more I looked at Lizzy's LO, the more layers I saw, too.... and hers blend together so well. Not sure mine really do that... lol... but it's good to get out of the comfort zone once in a while. I've had this picture on my list of photos to scrap for a while now, so I'm thankful that this challenge helped me cross it off of my list! :)

I am definitely not great at doing pages that primarily focus on a large amount of journaling, so Jacinda is the one I'm going to lift. I'll tackle this page of hers...

I am going to lift the amazing Kjersti. I have to admit that I have a serious scrappy crush on her. She is a layering genius and also very very sweet. I'm going to tackle this beauty.

 
So, I have a question and I feel dumb not knowing the answer. Do we get extra sweet rewards points for doing these?

This isn't for Sweet Rewards, but someone gets picked for a GC to the Shoppe. So, it's not 'just' for fun. ;)

ETA: Don't quote me on this though, Miss Laura is in charge. :D
 
I'm gonna have to chose Lizzy as her's are so different than mine. She amazes me with her layers.

I love this layout by Marnel... I almost never use that kind of composition AND I'm challenging myself to use potty people in your honour. And the slide circle (is that the name of it?), arrows, banner shapes and other things that I almost never use. ;-)

No way this was the easy way out! The "go for something different" part was pretty tricky! First I had to think a lot about it and then my page took like 4 hours to make. But it was a fab challenge, totally belongs to those I enjoyed most.
