Mine are 17, 15 and 11 so having a child who is only a year and a half off graduation is really making me feel old and sooo notalgic for when she was a baby. You just dont realize until it is to late how fast the time will go.
I feel your pain! My oldest will be 14 shortly, I so don't feel old enough to have a teenager!! Doesn't help me that the youngest is only 3 - it's depressing when I think that my oldest will be two years away from graduating high school when the baby starts kindergarten!!!
Well she got her first digital camera, a slumber party and her choice of dinner and cake, but that's all. That's special enough. Birthdays are usually low key around here.
I'm right there with you all!! My dd is 14 and in this province she can already drive!! I'm just grateful that she feels she isn't ready yet and still likes me to drive her around!!
You are not old at all woman! Happy Birthday to your daughter! I know what yo mean about missing the babies though. My sister is 10 years younger and I swear I still see her as a 6 year old, not a 16 year old!
i feel your pain!!!! i mean my kids don't smell D) but dang...they are getting old too! maddie will be in junior high next year and i'm not even 28 years old! DUDE!
My oldest will be able to get his drivers permit in flipping January so I am really freaked out...DS 2 will be there in 3.5 years which seems like a long time but I remember saying that about Dylan a few years ago too and here we are already!!!!!
What do you mean old, you're just getting younger! I'm a mom to 2 pre-school boys and I embrace every moment b/c i know they'll be grown in a blink of an eye... Anyways, hope your DD had a wonderful birthday and may she enjoy many more to come!
