It's done...

3 hours later and all my Christmas decorations and tree are put away for another year. I'm sort of sad though as this Christmas was probably the last one we'll have in this house. We are pretty sure we are moving to my hometown in early summer. Sad, but extremely happy to be going home! There are so many things I keep saying "we'll be able to do that next year!" to :D

I took mine down a few hours ago too. But for me it was heaven, because on the 23rd our kitchen remodel was finally finished! And putting away all the Christmas stuff really helped me to see what it will be like now.

I'm sure you will make great memories next Christmas, no matter where you live. :)

I know exactly how you feel!! We took ours down yesterday. Kind of sad in a way, but I needed my living room back. Last year we only did a little tree because we were in the middle of preparing the house to sell. It was sad, but I am very happy here now, so it all works out. Just keep thinking of next year!!

Awe, it is a little bittersweet to take down the decorations. We took all of ours down today too. I was surprised that I wasn't more bummed to take them down. I'm usually much more sentimental about it.

I'm sure it will be awesome to have Christmas in your hometown next year!

Just keep thinking of next year!!

Oh I do...constantly! :D I haven't lived home for 12 1/2 years and I've hated missing all the birthdays, dinners, talking to my mom more often, not being afraid to drive anywhere and even some deaths...I was the only person in my immediate family who wasn't there the day my 11 year old dog was put down. My whole family lives in my hometown, and here, DH has his parents and brother. That's it. I am SOOOO ready to move!!

Totally bittersweet. It always makes me a bit sad to take them down. The season goes too quickly!!

It's bittersweet. :) I took all our Christmas stuff down today too but I was ready for it to come down. How exciting it will be for you to be back in your home town next year. It will make everything that much more special.

ugg, I am not looking forward to doing that this weekend. I am might keep some of my snowmen out for another month, though. I am hoping it may ease my holiday withdraw.

I was so glad to get it down today. I was grumpy through the whole thing though because it's such a big job and I had to listen to video games being played the whole time. Tomorrow I will finish cleaning and will be so happy to have it all back to normal!

I did leave out the 2 sock snowmen my 2 youngest made at school though. :)

My tree will come down this weekend - I hate un-decorating the tree. it's such a pain!

how nice to move back to your hometown! We just recently (in 2002) moved out of my hometown but not to far away to get together with family for dinners and such!

We didnt go crazy decorating this year but Im dreading taking down the tree, yes I still havent LOL Im lazy too so it may stay there another week, its fake so we're flexible. I can see why this year would be very bittersweet for you guys :(
