I'm hoping this will be my last post like this for a while but I wanted to let you all know that Kim Bloom, Lundra's mother, died last night after a five month battle with stage-four liver cancer.
If you remember from right before Christmas, I posted about the Bloom family. I grew up next door to them and babysat their son, Kyle who is now 20. Five years ago they adopted an 11-year-old girl named Lundra. Lundra's birth mom died when she was three and her birth father died when she was 11. She's an amazing girl and babysits for my children.
Anyways... five months ago her adoptive mom, Kim, was diagnosed with stage-four liver and pancreatic cancer. She fought very hard, but lost her battle late last night after being under hospice care for two weeks.
Lundra is only 16 and she has lost her third parent. Life is so unfair sometimes. Thankfully the family has a strong faith in the Lord so they know that Kim is dancing with Jesus today in heaven. If you pray, please pray for peace for the family that Kim left behind and healing for them as well.
Thanks so much girls. This has been long few months filled with lots of death and suffering for many people in my life. I pray for a bit of a break for a while...
