It's a fracture

We just got a call back from the nurse. It's a fracture in her tibia in the proxmal end which would explain why her knee was/is swollen. So my baby girl is getting her first - and hopefully last - cast. I need to start looking for a kit to scrap cast pictures with. :p Oh, and thank you again for all the P&PT. I'm so glad it's a fracture and not a torn ACL.
 
I'm glad it was a broken bone instead of the ACL. Benjamin broke his when he was almost3, 3 weeks later it was healed so well, the doctors couldn't find the spot on the xray LOL. I'm sure she'll heal quickly!
 
Casts suck, dude. Abby broke her foot and was in one for 4 weeks or so... ugh. I'm SO glad it was not her ACL!!!!!!!
 
Awww glad to hear that its not her ACL! Sorry about the cast but im sure she will heal in no time!
 
Thanks, girls! I'm actually relieved that it's a fracture and not a torn ACL. We're going to see if she can get a pink cast and we'll get all her cousins and friends to sign it.
 
That is great news...I am sure she will have fun having everyone sign her cast and stuff....Sending quick healing wishes your way...
 
So glad it wasn't the ACL! Not that this is goingto be any fun, but she's still little, so it might have some attraction!
 
Well I guess that's good news! Unfortunately she has a broken bone but kids heal so quickly and an ACL tear would not be as easy to fix. My DS broke his Fibula when he was a year old and only had to wear a cast for 2 weeks. Pink will be very cute. I hope she's feeling better soon!
 
Oh that's good thst it's not a torn ACL, but of course it's a shame it's a fracture! Hope they can do pink for her!
 
So glad it's not a torn ACL!!! Derrick had a cast when he was 3 and he thought it was the best thing ever - and he picked red because it matched dad's firetruck. LOL! Pink would be perfect for her!!!
