Is Wicked for Good as good as the first Wicked movie?

Wicked for Good is on sale on Fandango At Home. I am on the fence about buying it. It has come down to $12.99. In your opinion, is it as good as the first Wicked movie?
 
Personally I liked the first one better. I need to watch the second one again and am hoping it will be available on one of the streaming platforms I already pay for soon.
 
The girls and I did the double-feature in theaters when WFG came out. It was a fun time, but I think we all agreed that the first one was better.
 
Yeah, I was afraid that I would be sad if I bought the second movie. I think I will hold out and watch it when it comes out on Prime or one of the other services we have. Thank you all so much for your input!
 
I think that the 2nd one is a bit "darker" if that makes sense- although it does tie into The Wizard of Oz better- or at least that's what my mom said who doesn't love Wicked, but does love WOO. It think it'll be free next week on Peacock- according to my mom. ;)

I wonder if it will be on other platforms as well. Peacock is one of the services we don't have. :(

It is. That's because the movie For Good was filmed with the book in mind, instead of the second act of the Broadway musical. The book is written in a pretty dark way. That's most likely why some people consider For Good not as good Wicked. It's not that light-hearted and happy like part one and the musical. For me....I loved both movies.
