Is there something you use or do a lot when creating LOs?

Is there a certain trend or technique that you use a lot when making a LO? Like I have been noticing on my pages lately I always have some sort of layered paper strips. And I usually place them behind the photo. And I am totally into worn overlays. I layer them too. Is there something that seem to do or use a lot?

I seem to lift a lot. I'm always up for the lifting challenges. I tend to have the biggest brain fart when I have to think on my own:huh:

But, I was using the swirls a bunch, then realized I was using them on almost every layout so I try to hold back. I still open them into the program and try to find a place for them, but now try to delete so I don't overdo. Does that even make sense?!

I always put a stroke around my photos instead of using frames.
And I always do like 50293802498420394 layers.

I'm addicted to photo frames... I have like 12 sets different postage frames alone hehe. Lately i have been refraining myself from using frames on my LOs, but sometimes i feel that my photos are 'bare' without them. I also tend to 'frame' my LOs a lot by layering two papers as a base, the top one smaller than the bottom one.

I go through cycles with my designs. Right now I'm into leaves. All because I did a challenge last month and lifted a page that had a "natural" feel about it with realistic looking leaves and wood frames and next thing I knew I was addicted to leaves, lol.

Eventually I will get bored of them or realize my layouts are looking too much a like and move on to something else.

I am addicted to templates lately. I swear I can't come up with a LO concept of my own hardly at all lately.

Line's I always put lines somewhere on my sigs and on a lot of LO's and Century Gothic, I use that for small text way too often xxx

I'm addicted to worn overlays and layering. I always look for something to put under my photo to create a foundation for my layering.

I usually have to have a frame around my photos and I almost always have to have some sort of border around my page.

Right now, I'm into corner clustering. I'm sure it's getting boring to the peeps that visit my gallery, but I really love it. LOL

Me too! And I'm really into trying to get my shadows to look as realistic as possible. One thing I was really addicted to and find myself always trying to go back to is circles... mostly behind the photos as part of my clustering/layering. Still love me some circles.

I always have a patterned background, then usually a solid paper a little smaller over the top. Almost every page I do is like that.

I can't for the life of me scrap without a template. Step #1 when I decide to scrap is to browse all my sketches and pick one, lol.

After that, like Indah, I seem to use multiple papers as my base (I love the look!!), I use stitching on EVERY layout, and I have have HAVE to use an overlay somewhere, lol!! Oh, also I like to journal (which is something I used to avoid, and I'd end up putting a quote instead, but now I love it), and fun titlework (something else I used to struggle with).

I want to like string and doodles. I really like them, but I have so much trouble incorporating them into my layouts. They just never look right to me.

This is so me!! I have to laugh every time I do a page because I know that it will always involve at least 2 layers of paper as my background!!

I vaguely remember a time when I scrapped......

I  stringy things and paper templates (Like groups of circles or squares or whatever).

clustering, white space, stitches, worn overlays. i can't seem to stop. and i think all my layouts tend to look the same because of this, lol.

I tend to layer lots of papers. The first thing I do when I decide on a kit to use, I bring every single paper into PS and put them all on to see what works best.. and end up using at least 3 :p

I pretty much use templates all the time---I have never been good at how to really "layout" a page. I tend to go with whatever is trendy, like right now the worn edges and sting--but I try not to overdo--I do tend to put flowers on everything
