Is anyone else getting spam in their PM boxes?

I received one today from GooDfriend and deleted it. What is the deal with these spammers? I get so irritated with folks that try to infiltrate our computers and ruin our good names. I hope when I opened the pm, that it didn't do anything to me...

as long as you do not click any links etc you are fine :] opening a pm will not harm your computer. :]

I had 3 notifications waiting, saw the users were already banned so I didn't report them! but they sure are irritating!!! I still don't get what spammers get out of doing this!
