irish lace/crochet

you're like stars
does anyone do irish lace/crotchet ? I think it looks so so pretty.. and soo so complicated LOL. I was looking at some pictures on pinterest of it and I really want to learn how to do it but I'm afraid. I can knit ok.. and I can sort of crotchet ( I got bored and gave up on it but I had an understanding of the basics at least). I didn't find a ton of tutorials online but I'm sure I could piece it together. Just wondering if anyone does it, enjoys it, thinks it's the devil and suggests I don't bother.. etc lol

I have a friend who used to tat .. tat? that looks wrong LOL.. but anyway, I can't tell if tatted lace and irish lace crochet is the same or not. they look similar, but seeing as I've done neither I have no idea :p It seems that even if they are different it's the same sort of skill though right? they're all so pretty

Pretty sure you'll be visiting me before I ever make it to you. :p Let's have a lesson, for sure! I really do want to learn.

it's awesome. I learned when I worked at the cross stitch store that was on gentile by fort lane in layton. We all had to know how to do something as a specialty to help clients..and that was mine!

I always wanted to work somewhere like that. Closest I ever got was a fabric store in NSL.

La, come visit at the same time as Jen, and we can learn together.
