Hi there! I am brand new to the digital scrapbooking world and need all of the advice I can get. I am due to have my first baby any day now and would like my project to be her baby book. I am looking for templates to use and suggestions on how to get the hang of this digital scapbooking stuff!
 
Welcome to the club!! I'm still new and using photoshop Elements III. Look around the shoppe here and you will find tons of templates. I started by just also doing general tutorials to get the hang of things and was surprised at how much I learned in a very short period of time. There's tons of information out there - I got very easily overwhelmed because I wanted to know as much as I could as fast as I could. Just take your time!
 
Welcome to SSD! If you want to learn PS Elements, I suggest any of Scott Kelby's books. He has a book for each version of PS and Elements. You can find them at Barnes and Noble or Amazon. There are tons of great templates here in the Shoppe!

I agree, check out Bree's templates! They are easy to use, and lots of fun!
 
Well, just doing a search on "baby" in the shoppe got me these results.

Maybe we can start a new thread for people to show you their favorite baby/first year pages to kind of get the wheels turning.
 
Welcome to SSD! Certainly check out Bree's templates...Darcy's, too. They are awesome. Misty's tuts are great, too. You're in the right place! Don't hestitate to ask any questions you have...someone will know! :)

I use PSP but I learned alot from my programs own help file. I also bought a couple books which I referred to for quite awhile on how to do layouts. I looked through galleries. I never really liked templates but Im starting to use them more mostly for the challenges here. Anyhow welcome and good luck...youll soon be just as addicted as the rest of us :-)

I have to second Bree's templates. They are all awesome! There are a ton of great baby kits in the store too! And totally agree Misty writes the BEST tutorials. I am sure if you ever have any Elements questions someone will be very helpful too!
