Our newest addition Sophia Grace born on April 24th at 1:44 am. She weighed 8 lbs and 12 ozs and was 21 inches long. Shes just perfect and we are so in love with her!
On the 23rd around 1 am I knew I wasnt feeling quite myself. I didnt feel like I was in hard labor I just knew Wes needed to stay home from work and help with the kids. I had contractions that were on the painful side but def manageable. They were from 8-12 mins apart off and on all day. I honestly thought they were more annoying then anything because I felt like they were "real" but werent dong much and by 7 or so at night I was sure labor had stalled out on me. I had been able still to sleep off and on all day and was totally lazy so I wasn't really in pain at least. Out of no where at about 10:30 or so they went from 9-12 mins apart to 2 or 3 minutes apart and they were really bad. I got scared cause we live roughly 30 or so mins from the hospital. I didn't want to deliver the baby in the car and I knew these were real LOL. They were intense. My mom rushed over here to stay with the kids while I waited for my doctor to call back. They were coming on top of each other now and I was getting anxious. The doctor called back and had us go right to the hospital. We got there about 11:30 pm and when they checked I was 6 cm on the brink of 7. They put me right in my own room and checked and I was 8 already. I got to about 10 30 mins later. We had a little bit of an issue with something in front of the cervix (sorry tmi LOL) and even though I was ready to push it was preventing the baby from coming completely down past it but they had a second doc come in and help and 4 REALLY hard pushes later she was here. So all in all hard labor was pretty quick thank goodness LOL. I was very happy to be home with my family all that day and did most of the easy stuff at home. Just how I wanted it. The nurses were amazing too! So Sophia came almost a week before my due date and bigger then I honestly expected though they have been warning me all along lol!
I havent gotten to take as many photos as I would like, its all been a whirlwind. We came home a day early last night so we are all settling in nicely. Wes is cleaning the house cause we are moving in a week LOL We found a place! Its nuts. So we have a ton to do. Tomorrow he has to run a bunch of errands and Tuesday he goes back to work so I am really tryng to take it easy while I can.
Other then that I am really excited and thought I would let you all know!
Here is a few photos of my princess. Some of you are on my facebook so you prob have seen them already. I cant wait to get some good ones of all the kids with her.
We had to pull the binky out here really quick LOL So she has s funny face going on but I love her little outfit
