Installing Styles

A few months ago our Mac crashed, never to revive.

I finally got motivated to install Photoshop Elements 9 on the new PC.

What drives me nuts about Elements is trying to install layers.

I tried installing Jenn Barrette's layer styles that I purchased here and I followed these directions:

Is there something I'm missing. I followed these directions, but I get the message that the layer styles are incompatible with Photoshop Elements 9.

I did see the note on the Shoppe page and made the update to the name of the metadata file as instructed, but I am still getting the same error.

I really don't want to scrap if I can't have shadow styles. :-(

I have tried this now three times and simply cannot get it to work. I was able to get the styles to install when I had a Mac, but just can't get them to install with the PC. I wish I could figure out what I am doing wrong. I have specifically looked up information for PSE 9 for Windows 7 but it's really to no avail. It is so annoying that they have to make it so difficult!

Okay, I am not sure what I did right, but they are finally showing up. Perhaps I used the right Harry Potter spell. Okay, thank goodness, because I was simply not going to scrap without Jenn's styles. Sometimes I think Adobe writes the most finicky programs!
