For those of you who are “active” on Instagram…

How do you curate the layouts for your feed posts vs what do you put in your stories?

In months like this when I’m scrapping a lot I can’t keep up with the posting, plus I’m not a big fan of posting big clear current images of my kids in the public feed, so I try to limit the pages I post- but then my feed just looks willy nilly and lacks cohesion- which I guess sums up my scrapping style, so maybe it’s not a bad thing. :p

Am I over thinking this?? I’m probably overthinking this :D

I say go with whatever makes you feel comfortable and curate your feed to share those items only. I just peeked at your feed and it looks great to me, but I'm not sure what's making it seem disjointed to you.

I use my Watch Cheryl Scrap IG to share all my layouts, as well as graphics when I'm having a live session of Watch Cheryl Scrap or participating in a hop. I have a tab in Chrome that's named POSTING GALLERIES and I have all the tabs/links where I share my layouts online. Part of that list includes Instagram. I've been posting for years, so it's become second nature.

That makes sense, I could definitely benefit from a system that streamlines things for myself. Work smarter not harder.

I can’t really explain what feels off to me, but I just realized one of the things that is driving me crazy is that the thumbnails aren’t square anymore. It just feels so wrong!! But I guess that’s not a thing anyone can control :glare:

Yes! It drives me crazy to see it cut off! :p

Ugh... the non-square thumbnails drive me bonkers! I loved how it was square and you can see the whole scrappy page on the thumbnails, but now it's just NOT pretty any more :(

But, hey, to answer your questions, I'd agree with Cheryl. Post what you are happy with. I, for one, am not an IG-story type of person, so I post my pages as if the account is my gallery. It takes quite a while to post when I have several pages made for the NR, but that is what I am committed to do, along with posting in my personal FB album. I don't post on FB public groups any more due to my internet restrictions here...

I too, don't like that the posts I have on ig are no longer square. I edit my photos first to put a white frame so that when i check my thumbnails, they will look a little cleaner.

For my ig story, I just post inpirational phrases about life and books (of course) and that's it. It's been a long time since I last post a stoty. My last post was in december last year.

"willy nilly and lacks cohesion" is my Insta vibe. :D I just post whatever I'm creating and use it more as a gallery also. I agree that the non-square thumbnails are awful.

hahaha it's basically my life's vibe, so I don't know what I'm expecting from my Insta feed :p
