Infected finger, what to do?

I did something to my finger, probably just a nail in the quick, but it's really sore, plus I closed it in the bedroom door this morning. Any home remedy ideas? I got some Epsom salts, but I really don't want to make a trip to the doctor over my finger.

soaking in epsom salts, hot compresses, and gently pulling the skin around it to try and expose the hot spot.

Neosporin has an antibiotic and a pain reliever, I would apply that. I hope it heals quickly!

is there an open sore? If so - put some iodine on it... that is our go to. (remember on My Big Fat Greek Wedding and the father putting windex on stuff - this is our windex... haha!

I would also take a pain reliever that is anti-inflammatory and warm compresses to get the blood circulating...

After slamming it in the door is there bruising under the nail? If so it'll just get worse until you get the blood out. Sounds really gorey, but it's not bad. I went to urgent care when it happened to me, but my SIL who didn't want to pay for urgent care just used a drill bit to slowly bore through. Then you can drain it in a bowl of cold water. It relieves the buildup of the pain, but it'll still hurt for awhile.
